Individual Therapy for Women experiencing Anxiety and Overwhelm
Anxiety can look like constant worry, irritability, perfectionism, people-pleasing, or feeling “on edge” all the time.
In therapy, we’ll explore:
The root cause of your anxiety
How your nervous system responds to stress
Patterns that keep you stuck
Tools that actually help you feel calmer and more grounded
This work goes beyond coping-it’s about helping your system feel safer long-term
EMDR Therapy
EMDR therapy helps the brain process experiences that haven’t fully resolved on their own.
EMDR may be helpful if:
You feel emotionally reactive or easily triggered
You know something from the past still affects you
You’ve talked about things but don’t feel much relief
Anxiety feels tied to specific memories or sensations
EMDR is always done at a pace that feels safe and collaborative.
Trauma-Informed Therapy
Trauma doesn’t have to mean one specific event. It can include chronic stress, emotional neglect, relationship wounds, or experiences that made you feel unsafe or unseen.
Trauma-informed therapy focuses on:
Safety and choice
Understanding your nervous system
Rebuilding trust with yourself
Moving forward without reliving the past
Faith-Based Therapy (Christian Counseling)
If your faith is an important part of your life, it makes sense that it would also be part of your healing.
Faith-based therapy offers a space where you don’t have to separate your spiritual life from your emotional and mental health. Instead, we can thoughtfully integrate both—helping you process what you’re going through while staying grounded in your values and beliefs.
This may include:
Exploring how your beliefs shape your thoughts, emotions, and relationships
Identifying areas where faith brings comfort or where it feels complicated or strained
Integrating spiritual practices such as prayer or scripture if and when you want to
Aligning your healing process with your values and sense of purpose
My approach is grounded in both clinical training and respect for your spiritual life.
Depending on your comfort level, we may:
Incorporate prayer into sessions
Reflect on scripture in a way that supports your healing
Explore how your relationship with God impacts your emotional experiences
Use therapeutic models (like CBT, ACT, or psychodynamic approaches) through a faith-informed lens
Postpartum Therapy
You may benefit from postpartum counseling if you are experiencing:
Postpartum anxiety or constant worry
Intrusive thoughts or postpartum OCD symptoms
Panic attacks or feeling emotionally overwhelmed
Postpartum depression or sadness
Guilt, shame, or feeling like you’re “not enough”
Difficulty bonding with your baby
Fear of something happening to your baby
Rage, irritability, or emotional numbness
Identity loss or difficulty adjusting to motherhood
Birth trauma or a difficult delivery experience
Relationship stress after having a baby
Sleep deprivation and emotional exhaustion
Difficulty asking for help or prioritizing yourself
Spiritual struggles or questioning your faith during motherhood
You do not have to wait until things feel “bad enough” to seek support.
